KANDEM

11 years after General Electric and just after the foundation of Westinghouse and AEG, Max Körting and Wilhelm Mathiesen founded the commercial company KÖRTING & MATHIESEN, created on August 1, 1889, that will be quickly known as international mark Kandem.

The politics of Research and Development in the laboratories of the enterprise permitted him to be early in the technique of the lighting. The methods of applied development, and the streamlined methods of manufacture made KANDEM one of the most important producers of lights of Europe before 1939.

After the war, Fritz Körting founded the society KANDEM APPARATE - und LEUCHTENBAU GmbH, whose seat was located in Limburg / Lahn. Due to a lot of innovation and a lot of ideas, and due to its long experience, he succeeded to develop and to manufacture some lighting solutions that still count qualitatively today on the market.

Kandem nowadays

In 2001 the Kandem company became a company of the Group DR FISCHER, ideal complement with its specialization and expertise. The biggest strength of the group is to know how to answer all demands concerning lighting, with complete and adapted solutions, or with specific solutions.

Today Kandem manufactures and provides systems of lighting for all field of application in offices, administrative buildings, sporty centers, trade and industry.

Due to its dynamism and to its innovating and reliable products, especially in LED, Kandem shows progressions of business turnover with 2 numbers each year on these last 5 years.

Close to 10 millions euros of yearly turnover, Kandem becomes one of the most important European manufacturers of indoor and outdoor lights.

A special cooperation exists with DR FISCHER LED GmbH, with that we develop innovating and complete solutions thanks to the LED Technology.
